Libraries are backbone of any civilized society and heart of any academic institution. The Library occupies a prominent position and it is an important and integral part of the teaching programme. The aim of college education and college libraries is inter-related. College libraries extend opportunities for self-education to the deserving and enthausiatic stdents without any distinction. Libraries develop in each student a sense of responsibility in the pursuit of knowledge.
The library has a huge collection of printed documents. We hve sepate reference room with abundant reference material like encyclopedias, directories, dictionaries, historu books, literature, geographic collection, general knowledge, competative examinatin boooks, civil services and UGC NET/SET etc. besides college subscribes various print Journals and Periodicalson latest information.
Library has well established lending section for circulation of material to hundred of students on daily basis Library is giving access to National/ Local magazines and Newspaper to keep students abreast of latest knowledge happening around the world. it remains open from 9.30 am to 5.45 pm on all working days through out year.
We have seating capacity of 100 students at a time in our library for both girls and boys students. Library is providing Selective Dissemination of information (SDI) and Current awarness Service (CAS) to students.
The library has shown the paradigm shift from traditional services towards the use of Electronic Resources (E-Journals & E-Books) and various E-Services like online information resources which have free access on World Wide Web. The college has subscribe to INFLIBNET N-LIST E-Resources. Library has automatomated system giving acess OPAC ( Online Public Access Catalogue)
I want to assure my students that all your information needs would be fulfilled be it conventional mode of information or web based. Students are encouraged to make use of SWAYAM, e-pathshala, e-shodhsindhu, e-shodhganga, shodhgangotri and other OER (Open Eucation Resources).
